Dead body of a person found soaked in blood inside the car, police got information
New Delhi (ANI): The blood-soaked body found in a car in east Delhi’s Ghazipur today has been identified as that of a 27-year-old man from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi Police said on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Saurabh Kumar.
“…We got a call around 6 am that a man had been shot…Our team immediately reached there…The man who was shot was found in a vehicle. He was returning with three of his office colleagues from the night shift when someone shot him on the way… A crime team reached the spot and investigated the crime scene… Further investigation is underway…” Amrita Guguloth, Deputy Commissioner of Police. , East Delhi told ANI.
An injury mark was found on the head of the body.
According to the police, the team also found a car parked at the spot.
Police said a Centralized Accident and Trauma Service (CATS) ambulance was called and ambulance personnel declared the man dead.
Upon further inquiry it was revealed that the deceased was a married man and was an employee at a power plant, Ghazipur Dairy Farm. Police said he was traveling with his associates in a car with Uttar Pradesh registration mark.
“The deceased was driving his car and his friend Chandra Prakash was sitting on the co-driver seat,” said East Delhi DCP Amrita Guguloth.
The police officer said that the remaining passengers were not injured.
“The crime scene was inspected and photographs were taken by forensic experts along with the crime team and the exhibits were removed,” police said.
The body of the deceased has been preserved in the morgue of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital (LBS) hospital and the police said they are examining CCTV footage of the surrounding areas to get possible clues on the investigation.
“The matter is being further investigated and legal action is being taken,” the police said. (ANI)
