Dead body of drowned youth found in Shivnath river, police handed over to relatives
Durg-Bhilai: The body of a youth who drowned a day ago in the Shivnath river near Khamharia Bhata under Jewra-Sirsa police post has been found. The dead body was found near the river ghat in Sirsa. On Monday, the police conducted a post-mortem after establishing a morgue. After this the dead body has been handed over to the relatives. The deceased has been described as Vikas Yadav (25 years), a resident of Contractor Colony.
Police said that the deceased Vikas had reached the spot at 4 pm on Sunday. He had left the house in the name of partying with friends. After this drowned in the river. He was searched all night on Sunday. The body could not be found as the river was in spate. The search was resumed on Monday. Meanwhile, the dead body was found near Sirsa village.
