Dead body of young man found soaked in blood, police engaged in investigation

Korba: A blood soaked body of a youth has been found in Deepka police station area of Korba. According to the information received, a motor mechanic working in the garage was murdered late at night. It is being told that someone attacked him with bricks and stones and killed him. The police found the phone of the dead youth with his friend. According to the information received from the police, the youth was originally a resident of Gumla district of Jharkhand.

Nicholas Toppo (36 years) has been identified by the police as a motor mechanic. He was living in Deepka since 2008. A few days ago, Nicholas was working at Mandeep Motor Garage near Sirki Mor. According to the friend of the deceased youth, like every day, at 7 pm on Saturday, Nicholas had given his mobile phone to his friend and went to drink alcohol, who did not return till late night. His body was found lying near the garage on Sunday morning. People informed the police about this.

On receiving the information, Deepka police and cyber cell team reached the spot. When the police inspected the body, they found marks of being crushed with bricks and stones on the face and other parts of the body, due to which it is likely that he was murdered by being attacked with bricks and stones. Deepka police station in-charge Ashwani Rathore said that the police is investigating all aspects of the case. After legal action, the body has been handed over to the family members. Police and cyber cell team are investigating the matter. The special thing is that at the time of the incident his mobile was with a friend, due to which the police could not get much help.
