Death in Chui mine, one woman also injured due to collapse
Surajpur. A youth died due to mine collapse in Surajpur. A woman is seriously injured in the incident, whose treatment is ongoing in the hospital. The incident took place in Odgi block.
According to the information, 10 people had come to the mine to extract loose soil. During this period the soil subsided. A woman and a young man got buried under the mud in the incident. Here, as soon as the villagers came to know about the incident, they reached the spot and rescue was started to rescue the buried villagers. Police also reached the spot on information about the accident. The villagers and police team rescued the young man and the woman. Doctors confirmed the death of the young man during treatment. Meanwhile, the treatment of the woman injured in the incident is ongoing.
It is being told that illegal coal and untouched soil is being excavated continuously in the area. Every day villagers keep gathering in these mines to take soil and coal. At present, the police is investigating this matter.
