Degrees awarded to 1305 students in Nauni University
Solan. Dr. The 12th convocation of YS Parmar Horticulture and Forestry University, Nauni was celebrated. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presided over the function. On this occasion, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu attended as the chief guest. The Governor presented certificates to 773 students.
Apart from this, 1305 students were awarded degrees in B.Sc. Horticulture and B.Sc. Forestry, B.Tech Bio-Technology, MBA/ABM, M.Sc. and PhD in Horticulture and Forestry. It awarded 658 bachelor’s, 565 master’s and 88 doctoral degrees in Horticulture & Forestry, B.Tech Biotechnology and MBA programmes. The Chief Minister awarded 23 gold medals to meritorious students, out of which 20 gold medals were awarded to girl students.
Palak Sharma of B.Sc (Horticulture Honours) for the year 2021-22 and Shaurya Sharma of Neri College were awarded the gold medal for the year 2021-22. Similarly, Amisha Thakur for B.Sc. (Forestry Honours) for the year 2020-21 and Komal Thakur for the year 2021-22 received gold medals for topping the university. Vikas Thakur got gold medal for the year 2020-21 and Sakshi got the gold medal for the year 2021-22 for B.Tech Biotechnology.
For MSc (Horticulture), Deeksha Rana got the gold medal for topping for the year 2021-22 and Riya Rani for the year 2022-23. Gold medal was awarded to Kumari Sandeep for the year 2021-22 and Vishani Thakur for the year 2022-23 in MSc (Forestry). In MBA Agri Business, Ankit Katoch was awarded the gold medal for the year 2021-22 and Jilvana was awarded the gold medal for the year 2022-23. Aakriti Chauhan, topper of PhD in Horticulture, got the gold medal for the year 2020-21 while Sharmishitha Nayak got the gold medal for the year 2021-22.
In PhD (Forestry), Smriti was awarded the gold medal for the year 2020-21 and Sarita Devi was awarded the gold medal for the year 2021-22. PhD (Management) Ankit Pathania was given the Gold Medal for the year 2021-22. Similarly, Dr. was awarded the best M.Sc. SP Dhal Memorial Gold Medal Award Kumari Sandeep got the gold medal for the year 2021-22 and Vishani Thakur got the gold medal for the year 2022-23. Miss Nisha was awarded the Bauji Siri Chand Bhatia Memorial Gold Medal Award for the year 2021-22 and Damini for the year 2022-23. Sugandhi Chauhan was awarded the Purna Anand Gold Medal Award for the year 2021-22 and Pritika Sharma was awarded the Purna Anand Gold Medal Award for the year 2021-22.
