Demand for arrest of tribal leader, allegations of breach of peace
Rajnandgaon. The statement of tribal leader Surju Tekam has created a ruckus in the political circles. The BJP has opposed this statement made in the presence of the Congress MLA. BJP leaders reached Manpur and filed an FIR in this matter and demanded his arrest.
Regarding Manipur violence, Congress and Sarv Adivasi Samaj held a chakka jam and dharna for hours at the Manpur headquarters of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki. During this, effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Manipur Chief Minister Virendra Singh were burnt after taking out the bier. In the meantime, tribal leader Surju Tekam accused the central government that the government is not running Beti Padhao, Beti Patao scheme.
During this, Surju Tekam, in the presence of MLA Indrashah Mandavi, said objectionable things about the BJP workers in the upcoming elections in front of the heavy police force. After which the BJP leaders got angry. BJP leaders gheraoed the Manpur police station in front of the police headquarters. Jammed the wheel.
