Demonstration of farmer advisors in Patna, police used lathis
Patna (IANS). On Wednesday, the police lathi-charged the farmer advisors who took to the streets on the streets of Bihar’s capital Patna for their various demands. Many protesters are reported to have been injured in this lathicharge.
Hundreds of farmers from different districts of Bihar took to the streets for various demands, including the status of advisor public servants, and raised slogans against the state government.
All of them were about to gather at the R Block intersection of Patna and gherao the Vidhansabha.
When they moved ahead from R Block intersection, the police asked them to move away. A large number of police forces were deployed to stop them.
Senior police officers were on mike asking the farmer advisors to step back. But, when they did not agree, the police chased away the protesters using force.
During this, the police lathicharged the protesters, which created panic.
The main demand of the protesters is that they should be adjusted to the post of public servants. The protesters said that they have been working for 13 years and the state government is cheating.
