Dental Association conference held
Nearly 100 dental surgeons from across the state participated in a conference organized by the Indian Dental Association Arunachal Pradesh State Branch (IDA-APSB) here recently.
The conference held a ‘Scientific Session’, during which speakers discussed a variety of topics including digital dentistry; Recent advances in pulp treatment materials for primary and immature permanent teeth; Diversity in Orthodontics; Medical ethics in dental practices; and exploring the development of dentistry from its historical roots to contemporary practices.
“It also provided a platform for dental surgeons to deliberate on the important role of dentistry in the healthcare sector and society at large,” the IDA-APSB said in a release.
The participants also discussed the advancements in dental treatment, and requested the state government to “take employment generation initiatives, to address the rising unemployment among dental professionals, which has led to the increase in private dental clinics across the state “Strategies for scaling up” were also discussed during the conference on the stature and efficacy of IDA-APSB.
The participants included, among others, Director of Health Services Dr. Dondu Wange, General Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association (APCA) Dr. Kabak Tamar, Deputy Director of Health Services (Dental) Dr. Joram Nisha, State Program Officer (Dental) Dr. Tayu Nani, Arunachal were included. State Dental Council Chairman Dr. Nyada Mara, Joint Director of Health Services Dr. Ricken Reina and APCA President Dr. Komling Parme.
