Denying displeasure over DMK alliance, Thol Thirumavalavan congratulates Chief Minister Vijay

Tamil Nadu: Amidst the ongoing debate about coalitions and the recent government formation in Tamil Nadu politics, Thol. Thirumavalavan has clarified that there was no resentment during the alliance with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He made this statement while speaking to reporters in Delhi, where he was asked questions about the state’s new political situation and coalition politics.
Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol. Thirumavalavan stated that the party’s stance has always been based on social justice and democratic values. He clearly stated that the alliance with the DMK was formed as a political understanding and there was no dissatisfaction or disagreement. According to him, the alliance’s objective was to maintain social and political stability in the state by bringing together like-minded forces.
Journalists also questioned him about the formation of the new government in the state and the swearing-in of the Chief Minister. He congratulated Vijay on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He said that any leader who comes to power with public support should be welcomed, and all parties should respect the democratic process.
Thirumavalavan also said that the public has many expectations from the new government, especially in the areas of development, social justice, and employment. He expressed hope that the government will fulfill its election promises and work with the interests of all sections of the state in mind.
Regarding questions about relations with the DMK, he reiterated that political alliances are formed based on circumstances and public interest. He said that while in an alliance, there may be differences of opinion, but this does not mean that there is tension in mutual relations. He stressed that his party’s focus is on social issues and the rights of marginalized people.
Political analysts believe that Thirumavalavan’s statement indicates stability in the state’s coalition politics. Tamil Nadu has long witnessed electoral and political cooperation between the DMK and its allies, with reports of disagreements from time to time, but these are often resolved through dialogue.
This statement is considered significant after the formation of the new government because it could put an end to speculation about the coalition’s unity. It also signals that the allies are moving towards working together with the government in the future.
