Deoria: Woman beaten to death over land dispute

Deoria. Late Sunday night, there was fierce brick and stone fighting between two Patidars over land at Phulwariya Tola of Samogar village of Mahuadih police station area in Deoria district. In this, Madina Khatoon was beaten to death. Her husband, sister-in-law and sister are seriously injured. Tension has spread in the village after the incident. Police reached the spot and controlled the situation. Police force is deployed in the village. Late Murtuja has two sons at Phulwaria Tola of Samogar village of Mahuadih police station area. Alihassan and Noor Muhammad. In this, Alihasan has also died earlier. Before his death, Murtuja deeded his total 32 kattha fields in the name of his younger son’s wife Aamina.

When the elder son came to know about this, there was a dispute among themselves. Later, after the Panchayat, Amina transferred back the eight kattha farm in the name of Madina. After that, a dispute started between the two parties regarding the distribution of the house and other land. Murtuja’s daughters and son-in-law live here.

On Sunday night, there was a dispute between Alihassan and Noor Mohammed’s family over taking photographs of the walkway at the door. Alihasan’s son-in-law Sirajuddin was taking the photo. The other party refused. Bricks and stones started moving regarding this matter. People were injured from both sides.

Police reached the spot and took Alihasan’s family to Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College in a tempo. Madina died there late at night. The remaining Serajudin, Shamshad and his wife Kulsoom were referred to Gorakhpur Medical College. Sirajuddin’s condition is critical there.
