Deputy Chief Electoral Officer inspected the strong room

Bilaspur. Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Vinay Aggarwal inspected the strong room and counting place in Koni on Monday. He took stock of the arrangements made as per the check list issued by the Election Commission. Additional Collector and Deputy District Election Officer Shiv Kumar Banerjee informed him about all the arrangements made here by the District Election Office.

Vinay Aggarwal mainly made arrangements for the security of the strong room built in the Government Engineering College located in Koni here, information to the candidates and arrangements for their stay in the premises, CCTV, log book, uninterrupted power supply, videography, ID cards, action plan for counting of votes, barricading.

Observed and gave instructions on the proposed arrangements including VVPAT sleep counting arrangements, counting information to the candidates, training of counting personnel, communication arrangements at the site, media centre, counting of postal ballots etc. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the District Election Office. On this occasion, Takhatpur Returning Officer Suraj Sahu, PWD Electrical Engineering SDO Rishi Gupta and other officials were present.
