Devoleena opens up about balancing work while taking care of herself during pregnancy
Mumbai: Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who is expecting her first child, has opened up about how she is balancing her career while navigating life as a mother. She revealed that she often needs assistance.
“Even though I am pregnant, I have continued shooting so that my audience keeps watching me on screen and I can continue to entertain them. However, I have to be very careful on the set, especially while climbing stairs,” she said.
“I often need assistance because while working, it is equally important to take care of yourself.” The actress also discussed the challenges of wearing the show’s elaborate costumes, especially heavy jewellery.
“Since I am playing the role of Goddess Chhathi Maiyya in this Sun Neo show, I have to wear heavy jewellery, especially necklaces and mukutas, which can look very cumbersome when worn together. But it is a new experience and there is no harm in doing something different.” Devoleena revealed that she is like Chhathi Maiyya by nature. “Just like she takes on the fierce form of Kali Maa when she gets angry, I too remain calm unless someone deliberately tries to trouble me. But if they do, I become the embodiment of the fierce spirit of Kali Maa.” “Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya”, airs on Sun Neo. The family drama focuses on Vaishnavi, who is an orphan and considers Chhathi Maiyya as her mother. The show also stars Sara Khan, Jaya Bhattacharya, Vrinda Dahal and Ashish Dixit. On August 15, Devoleena announced her pregnancy by performing the Panchamrit ritual with her husband and family. Devoleena got married to her gym trainer Shehnawaz in December 2022. Meanwhile, Devoleena made her acting debut in 2011 with the show ‘Saavre Sabke Sapne Preeto’. She is best known for playing the role of Gopi Modi in the longest-running TV opera ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’. She also participated in ‘Bigg Boss 13’, ‘Bigg Boss 14’ and ‘Bigg Boss 15’.
