Dhaba owner kidnaps employee, then beats him brutally
Mahasamund. A cook working in a dhaba in the Kotwali police station area was kidnapped by his former boss along with four of his associates and beat him severely. The only fault of the victim cook was that he was fed up with his old boss and left his restaurant to work and came to Mahasamund to work. After complaining about the matter, the police have arrested 4 people including the dhaba operator. Regarding this matter, Kotwali in-charge Monica Shyam said that on Wednesday night at around 11.30 pm, Prashant Nibhavani (age 31), owner of Arang’s Lovely Dhaba, and his 3 other associates went to Kosrangi located on NH 353 in a car (number CG 04 NP 3429). Annam reached Dhaba and beat up Virendra Patel (age 35), who worked as a cook there, and locked him in the trunk of the car and took him to Arang. Meanwhile, the accused also beat up Virendra fiercely in Belsonda.
After the incident, Annam Dhaba operator Pradeep Sahu informed the Kotwali police and dial 112 in the night itself. After the information, the police team reached Arang’s Lovely Dhaba and rescued Virendra who was locked in the trunk of the car. During this time, the police have arrested 4 accused including the accused dhaba operator. In-charge Monica Shyam told that according to Virendra, before Annam Dhaba of Kosrangi, he used to work as a cook in Lovely Dhaba of Arang. From where he had left work a few months ago. After which, due to shortage of cooking staff in Lovely Dhaba, the Dhaba owner along with his friends beat up Virendra and pressurized him to bring him back to work. In the case, Kotwali police have arrested Dhaba operator Prashant Nebhani along with Aman Bandhe (age 22), Manish Yadav (age 20) and Sagar Sahu (age 24). Action is being taken against all these accused under sections 365, 294, 323, 506 and 34. According to the social media accounts of two of these accused, Prashant Nebhani is associated with BJP and Sagar Sahu is associated with Bajrang Dal.
