Dhanteras is the festival of nectar of qualitative prosperity.

Dhanteras is the second important festival among the five festivals associated with Diwali. Lord Dhanvantari and Mother Lakshmi are worshiped on the day of Dhanteras and shopping and charity are also considered auspicious on this day. This day is also known as Dhan Trayodashi and Dhanvantari Jayanti. According to mythological beliefs, on this day Dhanvantari Dev, the father of Ayurvedic medicine, appeared from the churning of the ocean and at the time of appearing he had a pot full of nectar in his hand. This is why utensils are bought on this day. According to Hindu religious beliefs, Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, appeared during the churning of the ocean on the day of Dhanteras, hence it is believed that bringing gold and silver home on this day pleases Goddess Lakshmi, bringing happiness, peace and prosperity to the house. It brings prosperity and good fortune to the home. Buying gold keeps evil powers and negative energy away from the house. Many families follow their hundreds of years old tradition by buying gold and silver and worshiping Lakshmi Devi, the goddess of divinity and wealth.

Dhanteras is the festival of wishing for wealth. From this point of view it is a festival of economy. Proper and qualitative research of economy through money. On this day, lamps of hope are decorated in homes and markets, currency is exchanged. It is believed that the things purchased on this day increase manifold. It is said in the scriptures that by taking some measures on this day, the house gets filled with wealth and the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi always remain. Dhanteras eradicating darkness and Lakshmi distributing light, that is, according to the Indian method, in every worship, worship and archana, there is a coordinated behavior of these three forms of physical, spiritual and spiritual. In this way, in this festival, Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped in the above three ways i.e. wealth and happiness and prosperity are wished for. According to this belief, in this festival too, physical Lakshmi is worshiped in the form of gold, silver, coins etc. by accepting her relationship with divine Lakshmi. Decorating the houses with lamps etc. is done to reveal the beauty of the spiritual form of Lakshmi. When we meditate on wealth we thank the Universal Spirit for our abundance.

We also pray for more so that we can become more prosperous. This prosperity is not only of gold, silver and money but also of knowledge, joy, confidence, peace and love. Gold and silver are only an external symbol. The wealth is within us. There is so much love, peace and joy within. What more wealth could you want than this? Knowledge is the real wealth. Your character, your peace and self-confidence are your real wealth. There is no greater wealth than when you move ahead by being united with God. This royal thought comes only when you are united with God and His infinity. When the wave remembers that it is connected to the ocean and is part of the ocean, it gains immense power. Dhanteras is also the day of ‘Ayurveda’, because herbs are also wealth. Herbs and plants are also wealth. It is said that nectar was given to humanity on the day of Dhanteras.

In Indian culture, Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha have been the objectives of life. There have always been efforts to achieve these here. On Dhanteras, along with money, religion has also been given importance and the need to establish coordination between the two has also been expressed, but whenever efforts for coordination have weakened, then there is an imbalance and anarchy in the society. An atmosphere has been created. It is said in the scriptures that money is meaningful only when a person’s life is full of virtues. But in recent years, the mindset and standards of our society regarding prosperity have changed. Today prosperity has come to mean only economic prosperity. Human values and good thoughts have been marginalized in the society and earning money by any means and wishing for wealth is becoming the biggest goal. Why did this happen? Do the seeds of this trend lie in our traditions or is it the result of market pressure? Where will this kind of mentality take the society? These are some important questions, which need to be pondered over on a holy festival like Dhanteras.

The form of Goddess Lakshmi is triple. He resides in body, mind and wealth. There are five types of happiness – body, mind, wealth, wife and children. Goddess Bhagwati Kamala i.e. Lakshmiji has been said to have eight forms. Aadya Lakshmi or Mahalakshmi (Virgo), Dhan Lakshmi (wealth, glory, investment, economy), Dhanya Lakshmi (grains), Gajalakshmi (animals and natural wealth), Sanatana Lakshmi (good luck, health, age and prosperity), Veera Lakshmi (heroic Diwali became the festival of Mahalakshmi by combining these eight forms – Lakshmi meaning protection, security), Vijaya Lakshmi (Digdigant Vijay), Vidya Lakshmi (knowledge, knowledge, art and science). Diwali means festival of lights. Where there is light of these eight forms, Diwali definitely happens there. With prayers of light, confirmation, progress. Understand in another sense. Lakshmiji resides in a small unit. It is in an earthen lamp. In its light. It is the Diwali of a fakir and also of a rich man. It is Diwali for a potter and also for a jeweler. This is Lakshmi. Lakshmi of mind. Everyone’s Lakshmi. This means that
