DM conducted surprise inspection of Pindra tehsil

Varanasi. District Magistrate S. Rajalingam conducted a surprise inspection of Pindra tehsil on Friday and checked the cleanliness of the office building and records etc. Observed the records of the tehsil and gave necessary instructions. While inspecting the building and premises, after seeing dirt and garbage collected everywhere, he asked the officials whether they ever inspect themselves and take stock of the situation. After seeing the garbage, he was instructed to get it cleaned immediately, keep dustbins and clean the garbage regularly. Apart from this, seeing that the domes of the building were covered with a layer of dust and there were cobwebs on the windows, he asked why they do not pay attention to cleanliness, this is everyone’s responsibility.

There were cracks in the walls due to Peepal trees growing at many places on top of the building. Seeing this, he expressed his displeasure and at one place found moss on the wall due to water falling from a broken drain on the roof, and ordered him to get it repaired immediately. Asked for the key of the locked building in the premises, which could not be found. They were enraged by the uncleanliness of the women’s toilet and questioned the closed toilet as to why it was closed. Instructed the SDM as to why it is not cleaned and used. Instructions were given to make proper permanent arrangements for four wheelers and bikes parked haphazardly here and there in the tehsil.

While inspecting the revenue archives of the tehsil, he checked the expiry of the fire hydrant cylinders, after taking information about the maintenance of the bags, he asked how many of these records were kept tied in old clothes. He got the bag opened and checked and said that there must be a content list of the records kept in every bag. So that it can be known which records are kept in this bag and it should be checked every year. Instructions were given to shred the bundles of forms etc. which cannot be used without being tied in clothes and not to keep open records. The District Magistrate talked to the officials of Tehsil Lekhpal Association and took information about their problems and instructed them to settle the cases in a quality manner within the stipulated time frame. SDM Pindra, Tehsildar and all concerned officers and employees were present during the inspection.
