Doctors were negligent in treating businessman, now police accused of not taking action
Bilaspur. Goldie alias Gurveen Singh Chhabra, son of the city’s renowned businessman Paramjit Singh Chhabra, died in 2016 during treatment at Apollo Hospital. Paramjeet Singh has accused the police of not taking action even after registering the FIR on the orders of the High Court.
Paramjit Singh Chhabra told that during the treatment of Goldie, there was serious negligence by Dr. Devendra Singh, Dr. Rajeev Lochan Bhanja, Dr. Sunil Kumar Kedia and Dr. Manoj Rai of Apollo Hospital, due to which she died. After the intervention of the High Court, an FIR was registered in Sarkanda police station against the hospital management and the doctors responsible. But the police investigation in the case is going on at a snail’s pace. Till date the police has not arrested the negligent doctors.
