Dr. S.S. Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority meeting chaired by Sandhu

Dehradun. Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. A meeting of the Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority was held at the Secretariat on Thursday under the chairmanship of Sandhu. Formation of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was discussed during the meeting. The Chief Secretary directed to include representatives of buses, Vikram and other transport vehicles of the city in the meetings of the SPV. He said that this includes intelligent people of the city who can give good suggestions to improve traffic.
They must be included. He said that every possible effort should be made to improve the traffic as well as pollution level of Dehradun. Instructions were given to prepare a good policy soon to promote e-vehicles and CNG operated vehicles. The Chief Secretary also directed to continuously work on junction improvements etc. to solve the traffic problem, to continue the works like challan on parking in no parking etc. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, Secretary Arvind Singh Hayanki, S.N. Pandey, District Magistrate Dehradun Sonika, Vice President MDDA Shri Banshidhar Tiwari and Jitendra Tyagi from Uttarakhand Metro Rail and other senior officials were present.
