Drug smuggling attempt foiled in Amritsar, BSF recovered drone
Amritsar (ANI): The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered a drone from a paddy field near Dhanoe Khurd village in Punjab’s Amritsar district. The drone was recovered during a search operation that was launched based on specific information about its presence. The recovered drone is a quadcopter (Model-DJI Mavis 3 Classic, Made in China). It is noteworthy that drones were being used by smugglers to smuggle narcotics from Pakistan to India. “On October 25 around noon, based on specific information about the presence of a drone, BSF launched a search operation on the outskirts of village Dhanoe Khurd in Amritsar district. “During the search operation, at around 15:05 hours, a drone was recovered from a paddy field near Dhanoe Khurd village.” BSF PRO Punjab Frontier said.
