Drunken woman strips naked on road in Hyderabad

Hyderabad (IANS). A shocking case has come to light from Hyderabad. A woman passing by on the road was stripped naked by a drunken man in Balaji Nagar on the outskirts of Hyderabad, police said on Monday.

The incident took place around 8.30 pm on Sunday night near Balaji Nagar bus stand under Jawahar Nagar police station limits of Rachakonda police commissionerate.

The accused has been identified as Peddamaraiah. The accused not only misbehaved with the woman but also made her naked in public.

Peddamaraiya, a laborer and a habitual drinker, was accompanied by his mother and surprisingly did nothing to stop him. Some passers-by, instead of intervening to save the woman, started capturing the incident on their mobile phones.

The accused misbehaved with the woman by touching her inappropriately while walking on the road. As the woman tried to save herself by pushing him and moving quickly, an enraged Peddamaraiah pounced on her and started tearing her clothes. The mother of the accused did nothing to save the woman.

As soon as another woman riding a bike stopped to question him, the accused tried to attack her too. The victim stood naked on the road for about 15 minutes. After the accused had left, some people came forward to save him and informed the police. On the complaint of the 28-year-old victim, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
