Dungarpur: Haju Dungarpur will deliver nutritious food recipes in Wagdi dialect to every home in the presence of public representatives.

Dungarpur. District Administration Dungarpur organized a district level Fortified Balahar Premix Video Launch Program on Friday to improve the nutritional level of children. In the program organized at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Auditorium, District Collector Lakshmi Narayan Mantri, District Chief Surya Ahari, social worker Prabhu Pandya, former Chairman of Dungarpur Municipal Council and Ambassador of Swachh Rajasthan Mission K.K. Gupta, social worker Banshilal Katara, Chaurasi MLA Rajkumar Roat, Aspur MLA Umesh Meena, Devram Roat, Dr. RL Suman, dietitian Dr. Mukta Aggarwal, Divya from IP Global, Dr. Kumaril from RCOE and a large number of Anganwadi workers, Sathin. And district level officers were present. In the program, everyone expressed concern over the malnutrition situation in Dungarpur district and resolved to make Dungarpur a well-nourished city. ICDS Women and Child Development Department has made videos in local Wagdi and Hindi to promote nutrition through five recipes for making halwa, ghol, cheela, laddu and rot. These recipes will be delivered to every home of Dungarpur district through Anganwadi, Asha, ANM, Sathins. Deputy Director ICDS, Dungarpur Pankaj Dwivedi said that these videos have been prepared by NGO IP Global in local dialect among the local people. At the same time, Dungarpur CDPO Pushpa Kharadi also played an important role in getting these videos prepared.

While addressing, District Chief Surya Ahari said that everyone will have to work together to eliminate malnutrition in the village, at home and among the poor. Work should be done to prevent malnutrition in tribal dominated areas. Expressing concern over the situation of malnutrition among children in Dungarpur district, he called upon everyone to contribute in making a well-nourished Dungarpur. Chaurasi MLA Rajkumar Roat and Aspur MLA Umesh Meena appreciated the innovation of the district administration and pledged to make a positive contribution in this campaign of taking these videos to every house in Dungarpur district and including maximum nutrients in the diet of mothers and children. reassured.
Anemia in 72 percent women, 79 percent infants – Dr. R. l. flower
Senior Professor of Pediatrics and Superintendent of Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital, Udaipur, Dr. R. l. Suman said that according to the National Family Health Survey-5, out of every 1,000 living children in the state, 25 children do not celebrate their first birthday. In Dungarpur district only 47.5 percent are breastfed within an hour of birth. 66.3 percent children are exclusively breastfed till the age of 6 months. Only 5.1 percent of children aged 6 to 23 months get adequate nutrition. He said that 15.6 percent of the children in the district up to the age of 5 years are malnourished.

At the same time, 79.8 percent of children aged between 6 months to 5 years are anemic. 72.6 percent of women aged 15 to 49 years are anemic. 26.8 percent of women aged 15 to 49 years are underweight. The situation of malnutrition in the district is a matter of serious concern and for this everyone has to make coordinated efforts to make Dungarpur a well-nourished city.
Public representatives and District Collector celebrated the girl’s birthday by cutting a cake.
During the program, birth anniversary of daughters was also celebrated under Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme. District Collector, public representatives and guests along with the daughters cut the cake on the stage and gave gifts. Everyone wished for a bright future for the daughters. The District Collector encouraged the daughters by singing Happy Birthday song. During this, all the district level officers were also present. Motilal Meena, Assistant Director of Women Empowerment Department, Dungarpur expressed his gratitude to everyone.
