E-rickshaw driver raped girl
Bahraich : The rickshaw driver tricked a girl who was going to her home by e-rickshaw after leaving her maternal uncle’s house, and took her to his house and brutally raped her. Due to the serious condition of the girl and bleeding, the driver fled leaving her in the District Women’s Hospital on Friday morning. On the information of doctors, SP City reached the spot along with police forces from several police stations. Based on the complaint of the girl’s mother, the police have registered a case of rape against unknown people and started investigation.
A 20-year-old girl, resident of a village in Jarwal Road police station area of the district, was living with her maternal uncle in the village located in Huzurpur police station area for two months. On Thursday the girl left for her home. The girl sat on an e-rickshaw. On reaching Kaiserganj, the girl started waiting for her aunt. On this, the e-rickshaw driver tricked the girl by calling the waiting person as his acquaintance. After this he was taken to his residence near the roadways bus stand of the city. Where he was tortured brutally the whole night. In the morning, when her condition became critical and there was excessive bleeding, the driver left the girl at the District Women’s Hospital and ran away.
The doctors posted in the emergency of the medical college informed the police about the matter. SP City Kunwar Gyanagya Singh, CO City Rajeev Sisodia, police from Kotwali Nagar, Dehat and Dargah police stations reached the spot. Meanwhile, on receiving information, the girl’s family members also reached the district hospital. On the complaint of the girl’s mother, the police have registered a case of rape against an unknown e-rickshaw driver and others in Kotwali Nagar. SP City said that a case has been registered on the woman’s complaint and investigation has been started. The accused will be arrested soon.
