Durg. In the district, a 33-year-old youth Shashank Das got hit by a train. Due to the collision of the train, he jumped 100 feet in the air and fell far away. He died during treatment at the hospital. Friends told that Shashank always kept ear phone in his ear. Because of this, he did not listen to them and got hit by the train.
According to information, Shashank, a resident of Kasaridih in Durg, along with his friends Priyank Tigga and Bhojraj Baghel had gone for a walk towards Bhilai on Wednesday afternoon. All three reached near the Priyadarshini campus underbridge. After this, parked the car and sat drinking tea on the other side of the railway track. Priyanka told that Shashank always kept earphones in his ear. He did not agree even after refusing. After drinking tea, between 1.30 and 2.00 pm, they crossed the railway track and again came down towards the under bridge. Priyank and Bhojraj had crossed the railway track, Shashank was coming behind. Then he saw that a train was coming at a very high speed. They shouted a lot to Shashank but he did not listen and the side of the train hit him from behind. Due to this, he jumped in the air like a ball and fell away. He got very deep injuries. Friends immediately called an ambulance and took him to the nearest hospital, where he died.
