Bangkok. Moderate earthquake tremors were felt in the north-eastern part of Myanmar on Friday morning. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake’s magnitude was 5.7 and its epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers, about 76 kilometers southwest of Keng Tung city in Shan State.
This area is near the borders of China, Laos and Thailand. At present, no damage has been reported due to the earthquake. The earthquake was also felt in Chiang Mai, Thailand’s second largest city and a popular tourist destination.
