ED raids 9 places in Kolkata in primary school job scam

Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at nine different locations in the city in connection with its investigation into the alleged teacher recruitment scam, a senior official said. He said nine teams of ED officials raided offices and residences of various people located in the busy Burrabazar, Kakurgachi and EM Bypass areas of the city. “This is related to our investigation in the primary school jobs scam. These people were involved in sending money. We are searching for the documents and other bank documents,” the officer told PTI. The search operation began on Thursday morning following information received from a person arrested in connection with the ED investigation into the cow smuggling scam.
