ED seized 90 lakh cash, conducted raids in Durg and Rajnandgaon

Bhilai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team raided the houses of 7 businessmen in Durg and Rajnandgaon. ED kept searching the documents in his house and office for about 18 hours. In this entire action, ED seized Rs 90 lakh in cash, property documents, mobile and digital evidence.

The raid by the Enforcement Directorate in Padumnagar, Nehru Nagar and Vaishali Nagar continued from Tuesday morning till late night. The ED team returned from the house of five traders at midnight, but the ED team continued investigating till morning at the house of rice trader Suresh Kukreja. After the raid, ED took Anshul Kukreja, son of rice trader Suresh Kukreja, to its office in Raipur, where ED officials are interrogating him.

In this action, ED also kept investigating the house of Chhattisgarh’s biggest firecracker trader Suresh Dhingani till late night. From where Rs 7 lakh in cash and several property documents, bank accounts and two mobile phones were seized. The ED action at Dhingani’s house in Padumnagar left his relatives, friends and neighbors stunned. Rs 90 lakh cash was seized from the houses of the remaining 6 traders. Also, property documents, bank accounts and mobile phones were confiscated.
