ED seizes assets worth Rs 417 crore of Mahadev Book App
Raipur/Bhopal. ED has taken major action on Mahadev Book App. Assets worth Rs 417 crore have been seized. This is being said to be the biggest action so far on Mahadev Book App. However, many white collar names are yet to be revealed in the case.
Difficult to get bail for 4 accused including police officer, appearing again in ED court today
The 10-day judicial custody of 4 accused including police ASI Chandrabhushan Verma in the Mahadev online betting case is ending today. Everyone will be presented in the court again this afternoon. The hearing will be held in the court of Special Judge Ajay Singh Rajput. In the same case, the court has also issued non-bailable warrant against two accused.
He was arrested in raids in Raipur and Bhilai.
ED has arrested lawyers, police, transporters, CAs and land traders during raids in Raipur and Durg. During this period, ED had taken remand of Chandrabhushan Verma, Satish Chandrakar, hawala traders Anil and Sunil Dammani twice under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act). In the last ten days, ED has interrogated CM’s advisor Vinod Verma, his wife, both sons and brother-in-law.
Meanwhile, the court had issued non-bailable warrant against Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, the accused operators of online betting app. Both the accused are currently abroad. As soon as the warrant is issued, preparations have been started to bring them to India. ED has sent information to the Foreign and Home Ministries including Jharkhand, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, MP and Maharashtra and other states for the arrest of these two. However, till now no clue has been received from anywhere. ED has also said to issue Red Corner Notice with the help of Interpol. On this basis, ED will today object to the bail of all four including ASI Verma.
