Elderly farmer dies in stray bull attack
Bijnor (IANS). A 70-year-old farmer was mauled to death by a stray bull in Nawada village under Haldaur police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district on Saturday.
The deceased Murari Singh had planted sugarcane crop in the field. He was trying to save the crop from stray animals. Meanwhile, a bull attacked the farmer. The bull tossed Murari Singh in the air several times. Later the villagers found the farmer dead in the field.
Police handed over the body to the family after the post-mortem late Saturday evening. According to the villagers, they have demanded the administration many times to get rid of stray animals. But till date they have not been heard.
