Election Commission conducts training session for 66 observers from Andhra

Vijayawada: Ahead of the announcement of the election schedule, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday conducted a virtual training program for 66 observers from the state.

While 23 IAS and 13 IPS officers attended the online training session from the state secretariat under the supervision of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena, another 16 IAS and 14 IPS officers belonging to Andhra Pradesh directly attended the training program at Vigyan Bhawan. ran away. Reminding the observers of their important role, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajeev Kumar directed them to ensure level playing field for a free, fair, fear and inducement free election. The CEC stressed that observers, as ECI representatives, are expected to conduct themselves professionally and be accessible to all stakeholders. He was instructed to be strict but polite in conduct on the field. He asked them to visit the stations and familiarize themselves with the geography and take stock of any weaknesses and sensitive areas.
