Election Commission issues show cause notice to Chandrakar

Durg. Returning Officer of Durg Rural Assembly Constituency Mukesh Raote has issued a notice to the Assembly Constituency candidate Lalit Chandrakar regarding violation of the provisions mentioned in the Assembly Election-2023 Defacement of Property Act.

According to the information received, election campaign writing has been done without consent in a private house located in village Pisegaon. Which is a violation of the model code of conduct. The said writing was done on the spot by FST.

The Secretary of Dal and Gram Panchayat and Employment Assistant of Gram Panchayat Pisegaon have been removed by following the Model Code of Conduct. Chandrakar has been asked by the Returning Officer to submit an immediate reply in this regard to the office considering Chandrakar getting the election campaign article done without obtaining consent from the private landlords as a violation of the Model Code of Conduct. Otherwise in this situation action will be taken as per election rules.
