Electricity supply affected due to cleaning contract company, FIR registered

Durg. An FIR has been registered in Jamul police station against the employees of M/s Urban Enviro Waste Management Limited, a cleaning contract company of Bhilai Municipal Corporation, Gopal Nagar Road, Nagpur. This complaint has been lodged by none other than the Assistant Engineer of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Limited. The engineer of the electricity department alleges that the power supply of 132/33 KV Kurud Bhilai sub-station has been disrupted due to arbitrary dumping of garbage by the cleaning contract company. The engineer of the power company has alleged that despite the refusal, the cleaning workers of the company continuously dump garbage around tower number 8 of the very high pressure line and turn it over. Due to this the tower has been damaged and the electricity company has suffered huge losses. Following the complaint, Jamul police have registered an offense under section 427 against the employees of the cleaning contract company.
