Elephants knocking in areas adjacent to polling booth, forest department on alert

Surajpur: The second phase of voting in Chhattisgarh is on November 17. The Election Commission has made complete preparations for this. Whereas conducting voting in elephant affected areas is a big challenge. There are many polling booths in all three assemblies of the district which are in elephant affected areas and conducting elections there is a big challenge.

Let us tell you that the problem of elephants is not a common thing in Pratappur, Premnagar and Bhatgaon assembly constituencies of Surajpur district. In such a situation, conducting voting here is a big challenge. District Election Officer Sanjay Aggarwal and the Forest Department team are on high alert. The villagers say that there is an atmosphere of fear in the area due to the presence of elephants. The elephants come out in the evening.
