Employee ran away with Rs 20,000 on the pretext of going to the bathroom, arrested
Raipur: Tulsi Tandi, who stole Rs 20,000 from a shop, has been arrested. Prince Duseja runs a clothing shop at Malviya Road, Raipur, where Tulsi Tandi was working in the shop from 15.10.2023, who left on 17.10.2023 at 08:00 pm saying he was going to the bathroom and did not return. He did not come to the shop even on the second day due to which when the applicant checked the shop’s cash register, he found out that Rs 20,000/- was missing.
After which, on checking the CCTV camera, money was seen coming out of the door of Tulsi Tandi shop and on the report, crime number 292/2023 section 380 Indian Penal Code was registered in Golbazar police station and taken up for investigation. During the investigation, while observing the CCTV footage of the shop and around the shop, after catching the accused Tulsi Tandi and interrogating him, he confessed to committing the theft and the remaining amount of Rs 3,000/- in cash and food items was recovered from the accused’s possession. He was told to spend it and 01 mobile phone worth Rs 7,000/- was recovered and the accused was arrested and detained in jail on judicial remand.
