Srinagar: An encounter took place between terrorists and security forces in Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Saturday. Police said, “Encounter has started in Parigam area of Pulwama. Police and security forces are at work.”
The firing started after a joint team of police and security forces received information about the presence of terrorists in the area. After the area was cordoned off, the terrorists hiding there started firing in response to the security forces’ retaliatory action.
