Engaged in conversation and stole gold tops, major incident in jewelery shop
Palari. A major theft took place in Lakshmi Narayan Jewelery Shop of village Rohasi in Balodabazar district. Two youths who came posing as customers, engaged the female staff in conversation and spent five lakh rupees in gold. Taking advantage of the crowd, they ran away with about 20 pairs of tops. The matter is of Palari police station area.
According to the information received, two youths came to the Lakshmi Narayan Jewelers shop of village Rohansi posing as customers. He kept the female staff present there busy talking to her by luring her with the promise of buying jewellery. Then, after carefully crossing the gold tops kept in a small plastic bag on the counter, we started walking. At the time of the incident, only the female staff was alone in the shop. The shop owner had gone out for some work.
When he returned this morning and checked his jewellery, he came to know about the theft. Then he immediately came to Palari police station and informed about it. As soon as the information was received, police station in-charge Shashank Singh immediately reached village Rohansi jewelery shop for investigation. The CCTV footage installed in the shop was examined.
