Engineer burnt alive in car in Andhra Pradesh
Tirupati (IANS)| A software engineer was allegedly burnt alive in his car by unidentified people in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati district. According to information, the charred body of Nagaraju (36) was found in a burnt car near Gangudu Palle village on Naidupeta-Puthalpattu road. On Sunday morning, after being informed by the local people, the police reached the spot and identified the deceased on the basis of the registration number of the car.
Police suspect that Nagaraju, who works in a leading IT company in Bengaluru, was murdered in the middle of the night and the accused tried to make it look like an accident by pushing the car into a ditch.
Nagaraju was a resident of Brahmanapalli village and is survived by wife and two children.
The police have registered a case and started searching for the killers. Police suspect that a woman, with whom her younger brother Purushottam allegedly had an extramarital affair, was killed by her relatives.
Due to the extramarital affair of Purushottam and a woman from the same village, there were frequent fights between the two families. On Saturday night, the family members of the woman took Nagaraju to discuss the matter with them. They allegedly thrashed him and tied his hands and legs, locked him in a car and set it on fire.
The victim’s chain, shoes and other belongings were found near the burnt car. Police gathered clues from the spot.
