EOW presented Sameer Vishnoi and businessman Suryakant Tiwari in Raipur court

Raipur. In the Chhattisgarh coal scam case, EOW will now take suspended IAS Sameer Vishnoi and businessman Suryakant Tiwari into custody and interrogate them. Both the accused have been produced in the Special Court of Raipur, where the production warrant will be presented. Both the accused have been in jail for a long time.

In this case, suspended IAS Ranu Sahu and Saumya Chaurasia, who was the Deputy Secretary of former CM Bhupesh Baghel, are on EOW remand till June 3, who are being continuously interrogated. The judicial remand of accused Anwar Dhebar, Arvind Singh, Arun Pati Tripathi and Trilok Singh Dhillon, who are in jail on judicial remand in the liquor scam case, has been completed. After this, they have also been produced in the court.

ED arrested businessman Suryakant Tiwari from the court premises in October 2022 on charges of money laundering. On October 11, 2022, ED raids in many cities of the state found evidence of illegal transactions worth crores in the name of Tiwari. In this, papers of extortion in coal mining, transportation and other matters were found.
