Eviction campaign continued for the second day along the service road
Bhilai: On the second day of the eviction campaign being run on the service road by Corporation Bhilai, 5 condom vehicles, 6 handcarts and 3 glow sign boards, banner posters were removed and the road was cleared for vehicular traffic and action was taken at 20 places. A penal fee of Rs 500 was collected.
On the instructions of Commissioner Rohit Vyas, on the second day of the eviction campaign being run by the Corporation on the service road adjacent to G.E. Road, the road was made free from obstructions by removing the handcart and condom vehicle which were obstructing the traffic on the service road in the north direction. . Signboards, banners and posts of the shops installed on the road were confiscated. The car showroom operating in Sanjay Nagar surrounded the entire service road and put up a gate and broke it with a JCB to make it equal to the service road. The glow sign boards of Travel Agency, Pathology Lab and Medical Stores near Kamala Medical, which were buried in the ground, were also removed with a JCB. On the second day of the campaign, action was taken at 20 places and a fine amount of Rs 34 thousand 500 was collected. There has been a good response to the campaign being run by the corporation among the common citizens. The operation to vacate the service road will continue tomorrow also.
