Excise department seized Mahua Lahan

Mahasamund: Under the direction of Collector Prabhat Malik, continuous action is being taken against those making and selling illegal liquor. In the same sequence, under the guidance of District Excise Officer Mohit Jaiswal, on October 31 at 09:00 pm, Excise Department Circle Saraipali District Mahasamund conducted a raid on the edge of the forest in village Palsapali, Police Station Baloda and searched the surrounding area.

Here, 24 plastic polythenes and about 360 liters of hand-baked raw Mahua liquor in sacks and about 2700 kg of Mahua Lahan in 54 plastic sacks were seized. The Excise officer said that a case was registered against the unknown accused under Section 34(a)(f), 34(2) of the Excise Act. During the above proceedings, Assistant District Excise Officer Uttam Buddha Bhardwaj, in-charge of Excise Circle Saraipali, Excise Constable Raj Kishore Pandey and city soldiers Lakshmi Chand and Shirish Bhoi had important and commendable contribution.
