Excise department took major action against illegal liquor, 2 villagers caught

Mahasamund. Under the direction of Collector Prabhat Malik and guidance of District Excise Officer-in-charge Nidhish Koshti, action was taken against two accused of illegal liquor in circle Bagbahra of Excise Department, Mahasamund district. During investigation by the Excise team, accused Shantilal Malhotra from village Bhilai Dadar, police station – Komakhan, 140 pieces of pouches of zebra print liquor quantity of 28 bulk litres, 20 bottles of Kingfisher beer quantity of 13 litres, 7 pieces of Goa special whiskey loaf quantity of 1.26 litres, 70 pieces of plain loaf. The quantity of 12.6 liters and 140 liters of Mahuva liquor was recovered. Action was taken against the accused under Section 34(2), 59(A), 36 of the Excise Act. 6.50 liters of liquor was seized from the second accused Satwantin Malhotra/Banshilal Malhotra. Action was taken against the accused under Section 34(2). Assistant District Excise Officer Savita Meshram, Excise Sub Inspector Mukesh Verma, Vikas Badhendra and Excise Chief Constable played an important role in the case.
