Excise department took major action, Mahua worth lakhs seized
Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. After the instructions of Collector Dr. Fariha Alam Siddiqui and the code of conduct coming into effect, the Excise Department is continuously taking action against illegal storage and sale of liquor. Under the leadership of Excise Sub Inspector Jitesh Nayak and Vikas Sande, liquor and liquor worth Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand 250 were seized. During the raid in village Chhichpani of Kanakbira forest area of Sarangarh development block, the excise team found a total of 60 liters of Mahua liquor in 4 plastic jerrycans of 15-15 liter capacity, a total of 160 liters of Mahua liquor filled in four plastic polythenes, 100 liters of liquor filled in one plastic polythene. Mahua Liquor, 25 kg each, filled in 37 plastic sacks, market value of 925 kg Mahua Lahan, Rs 46 thousand 250, thus a total of 320 liters of liquor was seized, whose market value is Rs 64 thousand. The guerrilla team included Excise Chief Constable Radhey Govind Pandey, Lal Singh Kanwar and Rajkumar Kashyap.
