Excise officers raided the forest, exposed Mahua liquor manufacturing furnace

Mahasamund: According to the instructions of Collector Prabhat Malik and under the guidance of District Excise Officer Mohit Kumar Jaiswal, on Tuesday the Excise team seized illegal Mahua liquor quantity 45 liters and 400 kg Mahua Lahan from the forest of village Cherudipa police station-Basna under Excise circle Basna and imposed excise duty against unknown accused. A case under Section 34(2), 59(a) and 34(1)(f) of the Act 1915 was instituted. The action was taken under the guidance of Assistant District Excise Officer, Excise Division in-charge Uttam Buddha Bhardwaj and under the leadership of Excise Sub Inspector Circle Basna Nitesh Singh Bains. Municipal constable Mukesh Pradhan was present during the proceedings.
