Explosive material found in truck, two arrested including driver
Balrampur: During the ongoing intensive checking of vehicles in view of the assembly elections, Balgi police recovered a cache of Apex de Codex wire used in the blast. Police have arrested two accused for illegal transportation with Codex wire and seized the truck. The value of the seized material has been estimated at Rs 17 lakh.
According to the information received from the police, during vehicle checking at the barrier in front of Chowki Balangi, icer truck number TS coming from Wadrafnagar. 30 T 0700 was stopped. The driver of the vehicle revealed his name as Telangana resident Rajkumar Swami Gaud Janagama father Rajamouli Gaud (36 years) and the operator revealed his name as Jharkhand resident Gandhi Kumar Yadav father Bhuneshwar Yadav (24 years). During vehicle checking, the trolley was found to contain explosive material – APEX D CORD – II Codex Wire.
During interrogation, in view of the danger in Naxal affected district Balrampur due to violation of rules related to giving route chart and proper information by the driver of the vehicle, explosive material was found in the driver’s possession – APEX D CORD II 166 boxes (worth Rs 17,57,044) and Ice truck vehicle number. TS 30 T 0700 (worth around Rs 25,00000) total sum around Rs 42,57,044.00 was seized. After the case was bailable and a capable surety was produced, the accused Rajkumar Swami Gaud Janagama was released after posting a surety bond. A crime under section 114 has been registered and taken up for investigation when it was found that explosive material APEX D CORD II Codex Detonator was being transported in large quantities in a negligent manner, in a wrong route map, without security and information.
