False threat to bomb Raj Bhavan, native of Kolar arrested
Bengaluru: The person who made a false call that a bomb was planted in the Raj Bhavan complex has been arrested from Chittoor, Karnataka. Police gave this information on Wednesday.
The accused, Bhaskar (34), is a B.Com graduate dedicated to agriculture and a resident of Vadahalli village in Mulbagal taluk of Kolar district, he said.
According to the police, the city police was alarmed by a telephone call on the night of December 11, which said that a bomb was planted inside the Raj Bhavan complex here and it could be detonated at any time.
The police visited the Governor’s official residence and eventually concluded that it was a hoax call.

Investigation revealed that the accused had reached Bengaluru on Monday night and while passing near Raj Bhavan, he searched the contact number of the NIA (National Investigation Agency) control room on Google and called and said that there was a bomb inside. Raj Bhavan complex.
The city police was immediately alerted about the bomb threat and took necessary steps. Later investigation revealed that the bomb threat was a hoax call, a top police officer said.
Initially it was found that the call was made from Bidar and then after the alleged call, it was found that the mobile phone was switched off. However, later, using technical surveillance, police traced the person making the call to Chittoor from where accused Bhakar was arrested on Tuesday night, he said.
