Farmer and daughter die due to electrocution in Karnataka

Bengaluru (IANS). A man and his daughter died after being struck by lightning in their field in Karnataka’s Tumakuru district. The incident took place in Basavanahalli village of Pavagada taluk. The deceased have been identified as Ramakrishna Reddy (65) and Niramala.

Police said that Ramakrishna had gone to irrigate his farm land near Yalloti in Basavanahalli village. He got electrocuted near the borewell and died on the spot.

His daughter Nirmala, who came in search of her father, touched him and was electrocuted to death.

Pavagada police is probing the matter.
