Farmer goes to jail for death of female bear and her cub

Kanker. Theft of electricity in Kanker proved costly for the farmer. In Thanabodi village of Narharpur area of the district, a farmer was running a borehole with illegal electricity connection. During this, the female bear and her child had died due to coming in the grip of electric wire. After the information received during the investigation, the farmer has been arrested.

In fact, on the night of July 5, a female bear and a cub had died in Thanabodi village of Narharpur area. The police was engaged in its investigation. During investigation, it was found that Karan Sinha, a resident of Thanabodi, was running a borehole with an illegal electricity connection. For this, the farmer had laid electric wire in the field. The female bear and the cub died after coming in the grip of the same wire. Action was taken against the accused farmer Karan Sinha under the Wildlife Act. The accused has been sent to jail.
