Farmers warned, boycotted elections for not opening paddy procurement center
Gariaband: After the announcement of election dates in Chhattisgarh, all the political parties have started campaigning in their respective areas. On one hand, there is anger among the workers due to not getting tickets in the state. On the other hand, the villagers have now opened a front against the leaders. Farmers of 5 villages of Gariaband district have announced to boycott the elections. According to the information, farmers of Kuderadadar, Mudhipani, Jirad, Kanfad and Ladabahra have announced boycott. Let us tell you that there is resentment among the villagers due to not starting the paddy procurement center in Kuderadadar. The villagers demand that Kuderadadar village should be made a procurement center instead of Russell.
In this regard, farmers have also submitted a memorandum to the Additional Collector and Food Officer. The food officer said that the demand letter of the villagers has been sent to the state level. But their demand has not been fulfilled yet. After which the villagers have now announced to boycott the elections.
