Fasting woman’s health deteriorated, chaos created at Chhath Ghat

Balrampur. On the last day of Chhath festival, while offering Arghya to the rising Sun, there was chaos when a fasting woman suddenly fell ill. Within no time the woman fell unconscious.

The incident took place at Ram Mandir Chhath Ghat. Thousands of people had reached the ghat early in the morning to offer prayers to the rising sun. The fasting women offered prayers to the rising sun. After the puja everyone started returning. During this time the woman suddenly fell. The family members accompanying the woman got scared. With the help of the local people and policemen present there, the woman was immediately taken to Ramanujganj Community Health Centre.
