Kota: In the case of rape of his daughter in Kota, Rajasthan, the court sentenced the Kalyugi father to remain in prison till his last breath and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000. On Saturday, Judge Deepak Dubey of Court No. 3, while giving the verdict, wrote a couplet from Ramcharit Manas and declared the father guilty. Government lawyer Lalit Kumar Sharma said that the court gave a 15 page decision.

The meaning of this verse is that ‘if a person looks at his younger brother’s wife, sister, son’s wife or daughter with evil eyes, then there is no sin in killing them’. Special Judge Deepak Dubey said that Kalyugi’s father had forgotten that she was his real daughter. He not only gave unbearable physical pain to the daughter but he also forgot that the girl would not be able to get rid of this mental pain throughout her life.
The court said that it respects the courage of the victim’s mother. Despite being from a very backward tribe, she understood the pain of her innocent daughter and took legal action and helped her husband get punished.
The victim’s mother herself is extremely poor and works as a laborer. She was dependent on her husband for the maintenance of her three children. This example gives the message like a beacon to the society that no matter who the perpetrators of injustice are, they must be punished.
Government lawyer Lalit Kumar Sharma said that the report was registered at Udyog Nagar police station on March 9, 2023. The accused raped his minor daughter on 19, 20 December 2022 and 26 January 2023. Even before this he has been doing such things. During the investigation, the police presented the challan in the court on May 1, 2023. Statements of 11 witnesses were also taken by the prosecution. After this the accused was given life imprisonment.
