Fear of bulldozing, small traders removed temporary shops after ultimatum

Balodabazar. Since the release of the results of the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, the administration has started taking action against illegal encroachers in many districts of the state including the capital Raipur.

In Balodabazar also, the district administration has come into alert mode. Balodabazar Municipality had given an ultimatum to the street vendors to vacate their possession, after which due to fear of action, the occupants themselves are seen vacating their possession.

According to the information received, the district administration is preparing to take action against illegal encroachers in the entire district. Soon simultaneous action can be seen in the entire district. Street vendors had set up a temporary shop of fruits, vegetables and clothes along the Balodabazar main road, for which the municipality had given an ultimatum to vacate. Illegal encroachment can be seen at many places including markets and roads in the district.

At many places, illegal encroachers have taken over by making permanent constructions, but till now the action is seen only against small traders.
