Film City tender issued for the third time, project to be developed in 230 acres at a cost of Rs 1510 crore
Greater Noida: The tender for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s dream project Film City has been issued for the third time. It is expected that the developer of the first phase of Film City will be selected in December. Yamuna Authority CEO Dr. Arunveer Singh says that Film City is an ambitious project of the state government. The developer will be selected in December. Film City will be developed in a phased manner.
After changes in the terms and conditions of Film City, the authority has issued the tender for the third time. In the first phase, Film City will be developed on 230 acres. Yamuna Authority has once again issued a global tender for Film City. Technical tender will be opened on December 5. This is the third tender to select the developer of the Film City to be built on 230 acres. The developer will be given a license for 90 years. The state government is trying its best to develop a film city in the Yamuna Authority area. Tenders were also floated twice. But no company came forward in the tender.
After the change in the terms and conditions of Film City, the authority has issued the tender for the third time. Under this, it has been decided to develop the Film City in a phased manner instead of one thousand acres. In the first phase, Film City will be developed on 230 acres. In this, structure for commercial activities will be prepared in 75 acres and film related activities in 155 acres. The developer will be given a license for 90 years. The estimated cost in the first phase is Rs 1510 crore. However, if developed on one thousand acres, the total cost of Film City will be ten thousand crores. Yamuna Authority will give 230 acres of land to the developer for the Film City on a 90-year license. In return, the authority will get a revenue share in the earnings from Film City. There will be a minimum increase of five percent every year. The last date for submitting tender is 30th November. Technical bids will be opened on December 5. In this, the financial bids of successful applicants will be opened. After thirty days, award letter will be issued to the selected company. A contract will be signed between the authority and the company within thirty days of the issue of award letter.
